Today's Inside Radio brought attention to the news analysis that The Gartner Group published regarding Nielsen's A2/M2 (Anywhere Anytime Media Measurement) initiative under the headline: "Analysts warn that Nielsen's electronic ratings - and it's Go Meters - are still a long way off."
It is with interest in the A2/M2 initiative that Clear Channel has invited Nielsen to the RFP Committee table.
The Gartner Goup analysis suggests:
There is less here than meets the eye. Nielsen's announcement details many goals and intermediate steps to reach them, but those goals that are on a time frame later than 2007 are mainly tests and development projects, accompanied in Nielsen's news release by qualifiers such as "eventually."
