The ratings service says Media Rating Council accreditation for Houston is "down to two final items" - but confirms the rumor we'd heard that the council's PPM audit group failed to deliver approval at Wednesday's meeting. Arbitron is "committed to having accreditation of all PPM markets." But they'd previously said they'd go "live" in Philly in January even without the double checkmarks (after completion of an audit). So Philadelphia will go first, followed by New York, Nassau-Suffolk and Middlesex-Somerset-Union, NJ in October 2007, then L.A. and Riverside-San Bernardino in January 2008. Philly will see its first "live" PPM numbers in March 2007. And Houston will go once the Council grants accreditation.
